Overview
A concept web application that gives dispatchers one live view of routes, vehicles and delays — and helps them act before small problems spread across the network.
The task
Dispatch teams often juggle spreadsheets, phone calls and three or four separate tools. The task was to design a single workspace where the state of the whole network can be read in seconds — and acted on without switching context.
Approach
We started from a dispatcher’s shift rather than from the data model: what they check first, what interrupts them, which decisions repeat every hour. The interface is built around a live map, a priority queue of exceptions and keyboard-first actions for the most frequent tasks.
What we designed
- 01Live map that shows route health through colour and line weight
- 02Exception queue that groups related delays into a single task
- 03Command palette and shortcuts for the ten most frequent actions
- 04Real-time updates over WebSockets with an offline-tolerant cache
Stack
- TypeScript
- React
- Next.js
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL
- WebSockets

This is a concept project created by EastEra to demonstrate our approach. It is not a client engagement, so there are no client results to report.
